3rd pregnancy; first time with spotting Added: 954 days ago. Added by: jmesbabymomma Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
This is my 3rd pregnancy - in 16 years. Two healthy pregnancies before this one....I was so young before and now I`m 36. I`m at 8 weeks(+1)tomorrow. Yesterday my husband and I had intercourse in the am - I had brown spotting in the eve and very lite overnite. None today so far....I have a call in to the Health Center. I`m nervous about a MC. We had an ultrasound last Tuesday and all was good. Is anyone else having the spotting at 8 weeks w/ light cramps and nausea??

I had this at 10 weeks. I was 36 when I was pregnant with my son (had been 7 years since I'd had a baby). The spotting, cramping etc lasted for 2 weeks, but there was nothing wrong. The dr told me he had been in obstetrics for 20+ years and had seen it often, with positive outcomes.

Thank you ladies! I just heard from the HC and they are going to do the hcg test today and Wednesday. I appreciate the support.

light cramps, no spotting, bad nausea. i would talk to your doctor. it could be nothing. good luck! i too have not been pregnant in a long time (7yrs for me) and am 35. i feel im not handling this as well as i did with my daughter, and i also worry alot more. but remember women are having babies much older now than before, and medical science has come a long way. just be sure to communicate with your doctors. dont be afraid to ask them questions thats what they are there for. and...36 isnt old =P

I would def speak to a doc about it, b/c it can be something bad. But most likely everything is fine. I wouldn't have sex again until after speaking to the doc though. My friend just had this at 16 weeks and her and baby are fine. Good Luck! I hope it is nothing.
