i am weaning off breast feeding (not because i want to) so i bought some nursery water today to start mixing with formula. just wondering how other moms store it. i dont want to give her cold milk so i was gonna just leave it on the counter. is this ok?

Debra - 953 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) since she's 9 months- if she is taking a variety of protein and iron rich foods, then you can start to offer her cow's milk or goat's milk if you like. By age one to two, its recommended that kids drink no more than 2 cups (500ml) per day of milk, and hydrate the rest of the way with water so they have room in their tummies for good, nutritious foods. It's recommended that toddler's have no more than 1/4 cup of juice per day- if at all. And then juice should be 100% real juice- nothing artificial.

Debra - 953 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) our water is not fluoridated so my 19 month old son drinks our very exceptional tap water (vancouver, BC). I do not give my son fluoride drops either after speaking with my dentist who recommended brushing 2x a day, keeping sweets, treats and juice to a minimum. He drinks breastmilk in the morning and water for breakfast, lunch and snacks, 1 cup of cow's milk with dinner and breastmilk before bed. I started giving him goat's milk first as it tastes closer to breastmilk and is lactose free at 11 months (i was going back to work and couldn't pump and wasn't going to by formula for one month- seemed rediculous) and then by 14 months switched him to homogenized cow's milk. He likes cold drinks during the day- never had a problem offering it to him cold. My husband gives him milk warmed up before bed if i'm working a night shift, but even that i think he wouldn't care if it was cold. you should find out if your local water is fluoridated or not. Bottled water is usually fine as well. Otherwise, leaving water on the counter is fine- just don't leave it there for days open and still use it. If its open, use it or discard it after 24 hours.

babymama1989 - 953 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i would just boil water but if your baby is over 4 mths you can just use tap water like Chloa:Laiden said

Chloe:Laiden - 953 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I personally use just my tap water. So, I never used the nusery water unless we were out somewhere like on vacation and I didn't "trust" their water. I also sometimes just boil the water to sterilize it.

wwatters18 - 954 days ago now im reading that fluoridated water is not recommended for infants!!!

novinsmommy09 - 954 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i put it on the counter i mean you buy it at room temp and its water and doesnt need refrigeration
