Ok heres the deal I found many things I WANT but is it tacky to ask for things that are way over priced??? I found this Peg Perego stroller I REALLY REALLY want but the price is outrageous 400 I mean really 400 for a stroller but I will never need another stroller, also I found a bedding set for 276 I feel bad so I don`t know what to do, do I register for it or not and register for things i don`t want and deal??? Help!!! What would you do???

Jenny309 - 951 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would go ahead do it,.. I registered for a cheaper Stroller and I got a Chicco set instead, absolutely love it, and that was about $350.00, unexpected... As long as you give a variety, I would not worry about it. People will buy within there budget and what they want anyway. Congrats! :)

juels101 - 951 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well if you register for it people might get you something similar, they'll see you need a stroller and get another one. That is what I would assume would happen if others think your choices are over expensive. Maybe just choose some smaller things you love too for a good price that people with a tighter budget can get you. That way anyone with money can possibly get you those bigger things.

nutnut - 951 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) honestly i never did any registries. i understand the point of them is to make sure you dont get duplicates and what not, but stores give gift recipts. i dont know. i guess it depends on your family. i had a friend on a wedding registry at macy's there were these glasses he wanted that cost 99.00 per glass. i laughed at him and told him he's crazy as if i could afford the box the glass came in LOL. but every family is different. if i absouleltly had to do a registry i would put down what i wanted. no one is obligated to buy what they cant afford and thats pretty much understood. i wouldnt stress over it too much. you never know you may have 4 relatives willing to chip in and buy thats stroller for you. wouldnt that be great! =D or you may have 4 gift cards to use towards it! im pretty sure if your friends and family are not offended by showers or baby registries in general, there will be no issues of what you put on your wish list. after all it is just a "wish" =) not a demand =D

chrissy-511 - 951 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would register for it anyways. Maybe a few people could go in on it or something. That's what people in my family usually do if you need something big. But then don't expect to get as much other stuff if you were to get the high priced things. You might get gift cards though if you don't get them & you can put those towards the expensive things...

m2b - 951 days ago Oh no those are the only 2 expensive items. I rest are not. I am not that type of person I just wanted to know if it is tacky to put one or two expensive items on a registry???

Gigantor - 951 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Register. You never know. In the comment line put "gift cards welcome", so if you don't get it, you may end up with some money toward it/them. Good luck!

Bangel - 951 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) if you think you'll have guest that could afford it or might go together to buy it, might as well put it on there and cross your fingers! just think its tacky if the registry is only expensive items; not just a few.

EllaG - 951 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) In Ireland, showers are seen as tacky anyways. Maybe ask people to buy you gift cards for the store, or a few of your friends/family might pitch in together to buy a larger item. You could always register for just three or four large items & people can contribute with what they feel comfortable.
