When should I have baby shower?

I told my family that I want to have my baby shower when I reach 30 weeks. They told me that was too soon and that I should wait until I`m around 34 weeks. I think that`s too long. What if I deliver early or something? What do you guys think....

1923angelyrey - 947 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ive always had mine at 7 and a half weeks just for the reason of a maybe bed rest a sudden induction like i had with my first at 34 weeks and even though i had my second at 41 weeks induced it was so nice to have all the clothes washed up and things put together and so on while i still ahd energy!

cuddlebunnymeg - 949 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you can have it whenever you want!! I don't think there is a right or wrong time to have it. I am having mine tomorrow and so that gives me enough time to get the absolute needed items we didn't recieve at the shower.

chiquiz8 - 949 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you are having a very healthy and normal pregnancy, which I hope you do, then you should have it when ever you want, at 30wks or whenever, but if for some reason u are having complications or are at high risk for anything you should wait till you pass the 34wks milestones. I had mine a wk before my due date, but i wish i would of had them earlier cause i was exahusted and wan not on a mood for a baby shower....

krystiannoah - 949 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was about 32 weeks when i had mine... i think you should have it whenever you want, it really doesnt matter when.So tell them, its YOUR shower, and you'll have it when YOU want it.Dont mess with a pregnant lady hahahaha.

juels101 - 949 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had one with my first when I was 6mo along, but a lot of people seem to think you shouldnt until you have the baby, but that's no fun, you can't do belly games heh. I would say whenever your gonna be feeling the best is when you should do it!!

nutnut - 949 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my family threw mine for me just about a month before i was due. its seemed to be a good time i think. i had no problems, i ended up being induced 10 days after my due date anyway. i had plenty of time to do exchanges or what have you. =)

mama2be12.31.09 - 949 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) im expecting my first so no experience but i was thinking 7 months too so if the baby comes early and i have plenty of time to return/exchange and wash everything for baby, so i think your just fine at 30 weeks
