i keep seeing all these people say there babies sleep through the night between 5-9 weeks, that sounds great as a new mom to be! those of you that had these wonderful babies, were they breast or bottle fed, as i will hopefully be breastfeeding i dont want to get my hopes up!

BethRae87 - 940 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My daughter is breastfed and she started sleeping through the night at like 4 or 5 weeks I think. Now that we've moved she wakes up every now and then but it's like maybe once a week it happens.

nutnut - 942 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) sleeping through the night could just mean sleeping 5-6 hrs at a time. i just tried to force my child to go to sleep around 11-12 at night so that way we didnt have to get up til 6am LOL. i also fed her cereal at 2months.

MichelleMc - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was breastfed and slept for 6 hours at a time from birth.

Julianna - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My baby was bottle fed & he slept through the night (9pm-7am) at 6 weeks. I, unfortunately, couldn't breast feed :(

wwatters18 - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i breast fed (well pumped actually b/c she wouldn't nurse) and my baby started sleeping through the night at about 7 weeks!

mdbabyno1 - 944 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Just remember when some people talk about their baby sleeping through the night they mean 5 hours. That is what some books also call sleeping through the night. To me, sleeping through the night is when I didn't get woken up :). My little girl was formula and breastfed(not enough milk supply) and the first time she slept through the night was at 11 weeks from 7pm-7:40am. She had been doing long stretches(5 hours) for weeks before that.

Averysmommie - 944 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Avery was breastfed until 6-8 wks...after I put her on the bottle and was giving her 5-6 oz of milk as her night time feeding about 10pm with a pinch of cereal (couldn't tell ya if that helped or not) she would sleep until 6am...now at 8 and 1/2 months old she sleeps from 745 - 630 am...weekends she wakes up around 8. She's a dream, not sure if she's just a sleeper or what, however I did move her from her bassinet @ 4 wks old, i def know that helped a lot (i know of a lot of moms that co sleep or have the bassinet in the room & that disturbed avery being in the same room with us) good luck hun :)

jumpingbean - 944 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my daughter is breast feed and sleeps 9-12 hours at night. She has been doing this since about two weeks. I can not wake her for a feeding during this time no matter what I try.

pumpkins23 - 944 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i formula feed my 9wk lo since 2 weeks and three nights this week she only started sleeping 5-6 hours.but last night i only gt one block of 4 and then i was up every hr. hope it goes back tonight

luvbeingamom - 944 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have 2 boys. My first was bottle/formula fed and my younger son was breast fed only. Neither of them slept through the night until they were nearly a year old. It really just depends on the baby. Good luck to you!

CarrieE - 944 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My daughter was exclusively breast fed and slept through the night since she was 3-4 weeks (about 6-7 hours). After 3 months she was sleeping 8-10 hours straight (while being bf). I didn't introduce formula until she was 6 1/2 months and even then she only got two through the day...bf right before bed until she was nearly 9 months. Don't worry...just because you bf doesn't mean you are destined to be up all night. I think establishing a routine is key. Feel free to msg me with any questions! Good luck!

xolblondieox - 944 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My preemie twins started sleeping through the night (12 hours) at 7 weeks of age. They have always been 100% formula fed.
