take your child to the dentist? And did you take him/her to your regular dentist or a special child dentist?

avenue - 942 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) in uk it is from when thex get teeth. It is to make sure there teeth hav grown through right. And to get them used to going so they wont be scared in the future. Take to regular dentist, because it is easier than geting them used to a kids one, then having to move them up to a adult one, when there older. Especialy if they hav gaind the trust of the dentist. Adult dentist are just as good with kids, and wont do much with them till older anyway, and by that time the kid will have bonded a trust with the dentist.

nutnut - 942 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you should take them when they have teeth. or about 2 yrs old just to get them used to going. so they arent as afraid. theres not much the dentist will actually do at that young of an age, but if they go reguallary they wont be so afraid, and the dentist can catch potential problems at an earlier age. =)

myboogy80 - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i took my daughter at about 18 months b/c i noticed all her back teeth were coming in as a funny color so when i took her they told me to bring her back at 15 months and they will probably cap all the back teeth but they have to do it at a hospital b/c she has to be put to sleep my poor baby ....

emma32uk - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was a dental nurse before i had my last 2 children (in the uk) and we used to see children about the age of two, alot of the time the children didnt even let the dentist have a look , but it is the first step in getting them used to the dentist, as they dont want to scare the children for life. with my son it probably took a few visits bfore he opened his mouth.

luvmyboy - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As a Dental Assistant we would usually see kids around 2 just for a visual exam but we can't usually clean their teeth or get xrays until they are atleat 3 years old. Most dentist won't see a baby younger then 2. Maybe a pediatric dentist might but there really isn't a need until they are older. Just Continue to brush their teeth regularly. If you see a cavity call a pediatric dentist.. hope that helps

hollienjax - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I took my son to a pediatric dentist when he was 2. I called the office and that's the age they told me they start seeing kids. It was a great experience for him. They had games and toys and let him spray me with the water. He loves the dentist now!!!

lize - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I want to take my son to the regular dentist when he is 2.

mamalvs4 - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i used to work for a pediatric dentist, they reccomend the first visit at age 1, but then prob not for another year. unless there is a problem or concern

courtenay - 943 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you are supposed to take them 6 months after the first tooth comes in. so for me that will be at 15 months. apparently alot of dentists wont see kids until they are atleast 3, so sometimes it takes some calling around to find one who will see young children.
