Can I still be preganant?

I found out i was 4weeks preganant the 7th and the 15th i started bleeding so i went to the er (this was my 1st pregnancy) and they told me i was ok but to see my obgyn friday to check my hcg levels to make sure they werent dropping. I was not able to see my obgyn so Saturday the 18th i went back (i was also still bleeding and had been off and on since wendsday) and they checked my levels and told me they had dropped alot they were supposed to be in the 1000s but was 180 something..it devestated me i wanted this baby so bad. They gave me a shot because i am O negative. Well then i started wondering if it was possible to be pregnant with twins and not know it until you had misscarried one. I looked it up on the internet and found that it can happen and is somewhat common. but none of what i had read was about mothers losing one so early in the pregnancy...then i read one with the women being 3 or 4weeks and went to the er for heaving bleeding and cramping...they took her blood and had her come back and her levels had dropped and to make an appt with her doc to make sure all the materials had passed. her appt was for 2weeks from then and the er didnt give her an ultra sound or a pelvic exam (they didnt give me either one when i was in the er either) and her doc did and told her she was 6weeks pregnant and the baby she had misscarried was the twin to the surviving one. I hate to say but that gave me hope because i have twins in my family, my great grandma on my moms side is a twin which makes it possible for me to concive twins....im not trying to give myself false hope and im not in denial but if ther is a chance, even a small one that there is still a baby growing inside me i dont want to do anything to harm it. so can someone please tell me if this is possible and if so what they think of my situation...my doc appt isnt utill the 28 and thats still a ways away if i am still pregnant i dont want to have another misscarraige. HelluvaAngel - 939 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) When I miscarried I was still getting positive HPT's over a week after, and I was definitley not pregnant so you can't always go by that. Everyone is differnt on how fast there HCG levels drop. If you really want to know go back to your doctor and get an u/s. If you levels were at 180 though I would say it was a complete miscarriage. Mine were at 340 when I miscarried and it was just one baby. Take care!

trying again 09 - 940 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Do a HPT, when i miscarried i got a negative afterwards, if you are still preggo, it should be positive. Good luck hun x
