plbowens - 936 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had 2 M/C's before this preganancy. The 1st at 4 months and the second at 8 weeks. Im 23 weeks with this pregnancy and truly feels that I will make it to D-Day. I had EXTREME morning sickness the 1st 4 months with this one, unlike the other pregnancies. They were able to pick up the heartbeat at the ultrasound at 8 weeks. I went early because I had no idea how far along I was due to irregular periods. They picked up the heartbeat with the doppler on my 10th week check up. They kept reassuring me that as sick as I was, was a good indicator that my body was doing what it needed to grow the baby. Think good thoughts....

wwatters18 - 936 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) at 8 weeks your not gonna hear it. couldn't hear mine till 13 weeks. you could see it beat on u/s but not hear it that early.

nutnut - 937 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) they heard mine at 7.5 weeks on the ultrasound. then again at 11 weeks with the doppler. the dr. wasnt sure if she would be able to hear it but she picked it up right away soon as she rested in on my belly. she had this shocked look on her face too bc she really didnt expect to get it without having to move it or anything. lucky guess i guess.

lisab123 - 937 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I went in for my 9 week checkup and was not able to hear it on the doppler. Dont worry because if they do an ultrasound I am sure they can pick it up on that. As long as you can see it on the monitor flickering you should be ok. Try not to stress (easier said then done, I know) but just try to relax and know your dad is an angle looking over you and your new baby now. I am so sorry about that.

Bangel - 937 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) theres a chance, but don't worry if you don't. at 9 weeks my doc found it for a split second, I didn't even hear it, just the doc and my husband did. but at 10 weeks I went back and got to hear it myself for a few seconds.

courtenay - 937 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you may be able to hear it at 8 weeks but i wouldnt be disappointed if you dont, it is harder to pick it up early on for a variety of factors. if you dont hear it at this appointment you should deffinitly be able to hear it at the next appointment. i heard my babys heartbeat for the first time at about 13 weeks but thats when my first appointment was. a friend of mine just had her first appointment about 6 weeks ago and heard the heartbeat at 8 or 9 weeks.
