How on earth do you do it? lol I tried to today and it was disasterous. I thought I`d set Raelyn`s tub in the tub with me and I assumed her weight would keep her tub from floating, which was wrong. So I had to hold her tub down the entire time to keep it from tipping over.

LGK616 - 928 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I haven't done this but was curious too and I think I will give it a go too! Thanks Brendalee for asking and for everyone's input!

our1st.girl - 929 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I bath with my kids until they turn three and started asking questions BUT the way I did it was I would hold them on my lap bath them and then call my husband to come get them out and dressed...team work is the only way I was able to other wise one of us was left cold and dripping trying to get out of the tub.

10yrs.later09 - 929 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i used to sit in the tub with running water, because I didn't want the accidents to happen..it was very slippery. I think I did that until she was several months old( ofcourse when i had time on my hand and didn't have any plans) now she 10yrs old..now that i'm expecting a son..i or my B/F(cause I asked him) seriously doubt we would do that with him? you never know? best of luck!

jessicahan - 929 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) AHAHA Yeah my little guy pooped in the water last time.. so I am really nervous to bath with him agian! LOL I just lay him over the top of my legs (he is 11 weeks) He loves to kick and play in the tub, it is so cute!

trkrchk - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ya, I just sat her in there, but I brng a hand towel in the tub. One that you put on the counter to dry your hands with.. its perfect and allows for less slippage when you decide sto actually start washing her. They love mommy and me baths! The down fall is when they poo in the water.. which does happen eventually if you do it enough or have enough kids, lol.

lillyandlexisnana - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ive always bathed with my babies when they were smaller. I just sat them between my legs and crossed my feet over them to hold them in place where they would not fall over and drown. When I washed their hair I would lay them across my legs and was their hair and rinse it and then sat them back up to wash the rest of them. As long as you can have a good grip on them, there is no need to have to place them in their own little tubs. They will enjoy splashing, only downside to it, is you have to make your bath water a bit cooler than you normally would to take into account babies skin. If I want a nice relaxing hot bath, then baby would get its own seperate bath. lol

M2G - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I sometimes bath with my girls, it's a nice time to bond. It's obviously easier as they get bigger, but when they were super little they would either sit on my lap or I would just hold them.

jumpingbean - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I just sit with her in between my legs and have been since she was 2 weeks old. She loves the water and tries to swim in it. I always have what I need right there and when we get out I use my velcro wrap towel and get her dried and dressed right.

my.family - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i do it all the time since my son was about 8wks old. i think its all about having a good tub. we have a the brand Summer.

nutnut - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hahaha i did and i just didnt use alot of water i also had this little baby holder but that was when she got older. it looks like a seat, cant use it with new borns tho. before that i just used the tub that goes right on top of the sink was much easier. but yeah the baby floats up heehee. its a little easier to shower with them however they do get slippery so use caution. i just felt safer using the sink tub until baby could hold her head up on her own.

к.я - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) lol i take a bath with my 7 month old. But i dont put the baby bath in at the same time. Sometimes i support her sitting up in front of me or she sits in between my legs and we splash the water! Treat it like a pool!

5against1 - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i hold her and let her play, kick, etc. the same as if i was taking her in2 the pool.

abbyquiet - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) when my son got a bit older... which, i dont remember how old he was it was by the time he out grew his bathtub, but i got one of those big sponges, the kind for baby baths, put it him on it and put just a small amount of water in the tub and bathed him that way. killer on my back but it worked.

mamalvs4 - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) lol that is kind of a funny picture. i have never tried it, but my sil has and she said she had to go buy one of those bath sling/chair things so she didnt float

courtenay - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i just take her in the big tub with me and i have since she was about a month old. i supported her with my arms and legs, let her float in the water with support and stuff. ofcourse its a bit easier when they can sit up on their own then its not as much about supporting them. i always had my bouncy chair nearby with the towel laying on it to put her in when we get out. now i use her bumbo chair. its actually alot of fun to have a bath together. i take her int he shower too.

1girl1boy - 930 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ha ha that's funny. I can just imagine it. I just held my daughter. However it's much easier to take a bath together when she can sit up on her own. Remember to have a towel for her ready so you don't have to carry her far, their sooo slipery (as I'm sure you know)
