When did you have your first baby in relation to your due date?

I am trying to get an average of when people deliver their first child in relation to their due date (trying to figure out the best time for my baby shower).

megandgrace - 924 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had to be induced 3 weeks early because of low fluid but my doctor was convinced i would have gone into labor within that week if i wasn't induced that day. But we will never know if she would have come early or late now.

nutnut - 924 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) due july 4th, had my daugher july 10th after a long stalled labor and lots of pitocin. =p. this one is due jan 30th, but im anticipating another late baby. my mom had late babies, my aunt had late babies, my grandmother had late babies. it seems to run in the family and im alot like my mother's side. but, you never know! =D

I'm glad he was early... lol And I had my baby shower around 30 weeks with my son and I'll be 28 weeks when I have my shower for my daughter. I wanted plenty of time to see what I got, get their rooms together, and buy whatever we had left to get. I think somewhere between 30-35 weeks is probably the ideal time.

So once you find out what you are having I would say a baby shower around 7 months or more. Make sure your belly is nice and plump for all that extra sexy. Take car and God Bless you and your family. amazintrace - 924 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think it is always best to have the shower between 30-34 weeks. You know what it you are having (boy girl or twins), you have time to decide who's having the party, the location, your theme and send out invitations etc.. This also gives you a couple of weeks after the shower to pick up items you didn't receive as gifts. You have time to set up the nursery the way you want it to be when your baby finally arrives and find the perfect take baby home from the hospital outfit. Most normal pregnancies run at least 36 weeks (I know some do not) but most babies come a few days later than their due date when left to allow nature to take it's course. Best of luck to you! My shower was held at a relatives beautiful home here in town by my MIL on March 16 and my baby was born by scheduled c-section on April 18 last year.
