most women over the age of 35 have a greater chance of getting pregnant...even thou the most 'fertile' period in your life would have been around 20-25. but you have great chances of getting pregnant...and even getting pregnant with multipules. best of luck!

I am 37 and had my son last October. We had absolutely no problems getting pregnant. It happened 3 months after going off the pill. There is no reason you can't. I have the happiest, healthy little guy around.

I am 35 and i got preg the old fashion way no drugs or shots just me and dh. I know you are a few years older but i dont think it matters. I do think you need to have a check up before trying just to make sure all is ok. Good luck mommy to be i hope you get your baby soon.

Hi. I wanted to let you know that it is very possible to become pregnant at 37....I did. I just turned 38 last Saturday and my baby boy is due on October 21st. He is my first pregnancy. It can be very scary and a tad bit intimidating to become pregnant later in life with all the statistics and worse case scenarios OB/GYNs and specialists will throw at you, but like RobinG said, we "advanced maternal age" moms are many. I work in healthcare and there are a lot of women our age getting pregnant. I also have many friends who have waited to have children until their late 30s or early 40s so keep your spirits up. You may want to make an appointment with your OB/GYN to let him/her know you are trying to conceive so they can give you a guideline of how long to wait before additional testing should be done. I think it's 3-6 months for women over 35 but I can't remember. Good luck and I hope we get to hear the happy news of your pregnancy soon :)

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been trying for over a year. I'll be 37 next week. I went to a fertility specialist to make sure everything is "working" still. My only problem is that I'm not ovulating, and now I am with the help of clomid. Hopefully, I'll get my BFP soon. Don't give up, seek answers until you're satisfied.

You are one of many here who are advanced aged :) I had my 3rd at 40 ~ ((baby dust to you)) There are risks for sure being older but there are risks at any age and can happen to babies of moms at all ages so ys just dont know. :) I saw a high risk doc and a genetic councelor and got all the info I needed and made choices on what I wanted and didnt want as far as testing etc :)
