Sperm donor hurdle :( Added: 916 days ago. Added by: Mumbo Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I`m single, my son is almost 6 months and although I`m not thinking immediately, I have begun investigating possible sperm donation in the future as I love my life and don`t want to settle for someone not right for me just to have another child. I have just discovered it`s not quite as accessible for single women to conceive using donor sperm where I live as I expected (single women are deemed `social infertile and don`t meet the eligibility criteria` :( I was wondering if there are more opportunities for single women to access sperm donation elsewhere (not at home types, I want to go through the proper channels due to ensure my health won`t be jeopardised)

i dont know much about it but i just wanted to give you some support. i think that is really unfair that you wouldnt "qualify" if you have the financial means and stability to do this by yourself again. lots of families with 2 parents arent "qualified" to have kids and yet they have them. i hope it works out for you.

lol. i think about this alll the time too. ive decided if im not in a relationship that I can see as moving towards marriage by 33, my best guy friend(since we were like 13 yrs old) has offered me his sperm. i know him and trust him. i will not have a kid past 34. and i know i want 1 more. so, this, to me, is the easiet and cheapest route.
