i just found out im pregnant yesterday and went to the doctors today and they havnt helped me at all!! just told me to book to see my midwife which my appointment is 11th sept fr this now...but they didnt do another test fr there records or tell me how far i might bee ask me any questions or ask if i had any questions im quite allover as im only young and this is my 1st and i dont no what too do is it normal fr my doc not too do this because i cnt get any earlyer appointment with midwife until am 8weeks and about 5now..please will someone help meee

KFinTX - 909 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Relax first. I didn't see a doc until I was 13 weeks along- this is normal. You can still exercise like normal, eat regular, healthy foods, and take care of yourself the best you can. You're not sick; you're pregnant.

nutnut - 909 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my dr. scheduled me for about 8 weeks. i got my first ultrasound to find out how far along i was, and to check to make sure it wasnt a tubal or what have you. they didnt do any exam, or take any blood, or gather any information on me. then a month later i went in for what they call a nurse write up. i saw the nurse, they did blood, weight, and background medical history. they also answered any questions i had at that time, and gave me vitamins, and booklets on pregnancy, information on classes,etc. no exam was done at this time. 4 weeks after (12weeks) i went in and had my first actual obgyn appointment they ran blood, got urine, did a pelvic, a pap, and breast exam. they listened to the heart beat as well. in between i went for blood work and spoke to a gentic counsilor only bc i am 35, its an optional thing. if youre young, and have no reason to be high risk, or arent high risk, you probably wont see this side of it or get the bloodwork for that. every facility will be slightly different. with my daughter, the dr. didnt do any ultrasound until later, and i had my first full exam (pelvic, pap, etc) at about 12 weeks. i didnt even get seen prior. just take care of yourself, eat right, dont do antying dangerous and if you have questions give the office a call. =) good luck and congratz!

sweety198622 - 909 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would go see another doc,thats totaly unacceptable!!I found out i was preggers on a friday,saw the doc the next day.Thats service.But then again i live in south africa.

xanthe - 909 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) at my doctor's they dont even want to see you until you are at least 10 weeks along. they just said to start taking prenatal vitamins. just make sure you are being healthy, there's nothing to worry about.

juels101 - 909 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) That's lame, I would book an appointment with another doc for your first prenanal appointment. Write down all your questions and make sure you feel happy with the outcome. It's torture to make, especially a first time mom wait lol.

I know it is nerve racking but everything should be ok till you get in to see you mid wife. If not go to the ER but let me warn you I didn't get many answers there. They didn't do an exam or u/s or give me a due date. You might just have to wait till you appt.
