When does a baby go to the dentist?

nutnut - 905 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you can go as soon as they get teeth but they wont really do anyting at that time. it will just get them used to it.

TraceyL - 905 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i actually asked my dentist this very question a couple of weeks ago and was told that i could take my son to the dentist before his teeth come through as it will be a way for them to get used to it. luckily for me John's first tooth came in 4 days before his first appt. x

last.one.for.me - 905 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Oh and just incase you wondered about eye tests - I was advised to get eyes checked at 5 years old for the first time - UNLESS there's an obvious problem with sight or any hereditary eye conditions.. Prior to 5 years of age, it's hard to get them co-operate and they need to know letters and numbers etc for basic tests..

last.one.for.me - 905 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I remember asking when I had my first son and was told as soon as their first tooth comes in and then every 6 months from then on - more so to get baby used to having their teeth checked regularly. He also said to rub teeth buds with a cotton bud - but that was nearly 7 years ago and they now have gentle figner toothbrushes for baby teeth buds/full baby teeth and gums..
