Is this my period? Or still post partum bleeding?

I am 4 weeks pp and I had quit bleeding around week 2.. just light occasional spotting through week 3. A few days ago, despite trying really hard to wait, my fiance and I had sex. It wasn`t rough or anything and fairly quick, however now I am bleeding again. It started almost black in color and a lot heavier than what I had previously had. Now 3 days later it is heavier and a true red color. Is this my period? Or is it still just post-partum bleeding? Should I call my dr...or is this normal?

mandiemom - 905 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I bled for a full 4 weeks pp and it was pretty profuse. I ended up having a D&C at 6 weeks pp. Turned out, I had a some sort of benign polyp or cyst (can't remember) on my cervix that was irritated by childbirth. With my other children, I only bed for about a week pp and then started on my regular menstrual cycle at about 4 weeks pp. This would coincide with what you are experiencing. I would check with my doctor just to be safe.

last.one.for.me - 905 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Anything before 6 weeks PP I would class as PP bleeding.. I bled for about 10 days after giving birth, but then bled on and off and spotted all the way up to 6 weeks pp and then didn't have a true period until 14 weeks later (I EBF for the first 12 weels)...
