mariettap - 902 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The way it was explained to me is that you can use clomid to "get one good egg." That is, get one egg developed fully and then released in a timely manner so that the pregnancy has a better chance of making it through the 1st tri. Here I am with a gorgeous baby to show for it. I highly recommend doing all of this with a reproductive endocrinologist, though. It's easy to prescribe Clomid, but too many OB/GYN's fail to monitor the patient properly--There should be bloodwork and sono at day 3, then at the start of clomid, then day 12 of your cycle, and then every 48 hrs until the egg is ready to be released. This is for your protection (check for undesirable overproduction of eggs) and also to guide your timing. I didn't appreciate taking the magic and mystery out of the process of baby-making, honestly, but I appreciate my living baby so very very much. No looking back.
