I was having a regular day and was about to me my boyfriend for lunch. I stopped to get gas and half way through pumping my gas I started pouring sweat, everything started spinning, and then my vision went to black. I dropped the noozle and hit my head against the car then one second later I could see and shakingly collected myself jumped in the car cranked the AC and rushed home. Was this an anxiety attack (which I do get)or something else? Anyone?

grantsmommy - 897 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I started feeling this way last week when school shopping for my stepkids. I did not actually pass out, but had to sit down. I had to make sure I had something to eat and drink and it seemed to pass. I would suggest that you always keep a snack with you just in case that happens again. You may want to tell your doctor/midwife as well.

last.one.for.me - 901 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) well I suffer from panic and axiety attacks - actually I only went to the doctors lastnight and was given beta-blockers to stop the racing heart and panic attack sensations and also a referral for counselling and some congitive bahvioural therapy... My guess is, if you didn't feel anxious or on edge and it came out of nowhere - it's your blood pressure or low blood sugar... Always make sure you have a bottle of water you and sugary snack, and make sure all your friends and family know that this has happened and only drive alone if you really need to.. Even though I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, I thankfully didn't experience any while I was pregnant, certainly nothing that you described which is why I'm more inclined to believe it's blood pressure-blood sugar.. definitely mention it to your doctor or midwife at your next visit and get their opinion and get checked over...

blondie9504 - 902 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) That sounds like a blood pressure or REALLY low sugar issue. I had problems with my sugar and blood pressure getting low while I was pregnant (mostly in the shower) I just had to make sure I kept a candy bar with me at all times. My Dr said it was normal and not to take too hot of showers which I wasn't but I only have a shower and the steam was gettin to me (It was winter time) So I bought a shower seat so if I did feel bad I could sit right away. If you catch it soon enough and just sit and maybe eat or drink something it should go away fast without the blacking out. Good luck!

ladobruk - 902 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sounds more like a panic attack if it was accompanied by racing heart rate. They tend to be more severe. Otherwise just sounds like you fainted.

mama2be12.31.09 - 902 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have anxiety attacks, but also have passed out a lot from heat, sounds like you fainted from heat, dehydration, or the extra blood from pregnancy. pre pregnancy my doc said i was to drink 3liters of water on a normal day more if heat, exercise, or pregnant, so be sure thats not an issue

5against1 - 902 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) this actually kept happening to me throughout my pregnancy. just out of nowhere. i could be driving home, and i would have to pull over til it passed. i was hospitalized a few times, staying about 2-3 nights each time so they could run tests, and they couldnt find a reason. then they sent me to a neurologist who did notice that my blood pressure would drop by 20 just going from sitting to standing. it was very scary.

happyforest - 902 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have suffered from anxiety attacks. were you feeling anxious or nervous or on edge like you might cry right before this happened? if so, i would say thats what it was. if it happened out of nowhere, it could be something like low blood pressure or low blood sugar. or maybe you are super sensitive to gas fumes and just inhaled too much too quick.
