I bled for over a month,,, I think close to 7 weeks? I know it took longer than threeweeks for my stitches to disolve. One day I wiped and I saw a piece of one, which the Doc says is okay...I tore three directions though so I don't know...I think it goes by the person...?

i had issues too and what happened to me is they didnt really disolve right, and i didnt realize so i have a tear and ive never had it repaired. dont pull them out or mess with them. i guess my small tear isnt a problem bc no dr. has ever mentioned it to me. i always wondered but i was afraid to ask. i dont want to be recut and sewn back up for cosmetic reasons. it doesnt bother me or anything. i remember i bled for a long time. the dr. said not to worry unless i ws going through a full pad in an hour. i also got my period a couple days after i finally stopped bleeding what a mean cruel trick of nature =P. good luck. hang in there. just dont try to mess with them or take the stiches out yourself. they should disolve in time. the reason i had issues i think is bc i was sitting in the bath all the time like 5-6 times a day bc my hemmoroids where unbearable and the pain on my lower back was so excruciating it was the only way i could get some releif. so being in the tub so much made the stitches come out too fast. good luck!

It will be 3 weeks this monday the 10th i also tore and got stitches, i have not looked at them but am starting to feel much better i am not half as sore as i was ! As for the bleeding every one is different, but it is not abnormal for it to last up to 6 weeks or some times longer from the info i was give and have looked up my self. i would say to wait and ask your dr at your 6 week appointment.

I bled for what seemed like forever...almost three months! I had a few days off here and there. It wasn't heavy-and the doc wasn't concerned about it.

My stitches are still there at 4 weeks pp but they are going away and the bleeding can last up to 6 weeks (shouldn't be heavy bleeding though)

not sure about the stitches.. I had stitches as well but never looked at them, but pretty sure they are gone by now. I am 4 almost 5 weeks and still bleeding. I called the dr about it today and was once again told, no need to worry unless going through a pad in under an hour.
