pasta, mashed taters, ravioli, soups like plain chicken noodle with most of the broth taken out, banannas, yogurts, pudding, cheerios makes me a little leary as a first food. i broke them up even smaller until my daughter was used to them. you can steam all sorts of fruits and veggies and cut them up in bite sized pieces. they do have the mesh netted feeding sacks, you could use those too they can be messy lol. i know they say not to give babies eggs, but i gave mine scrambled eggs i didnt know any better it was 7 years ago. ive given her pancakes too, spagetti o's lol (her favorite actually) theres alot. just make sure its soft, small, and safe. =) i never left her alone to feed herself i was always right there i never even left for a second. =)

i love the cheerios and bananas u can try tiny pieces of toast with something on it (jelly, butter etc) they also have (sorry i dont know the name) pacifier looking contraptions with mesh on the end so you can stick in fruit like watermelon and they suck on it without the fear of choking hopefully someone else will come along and know the name of it
