When should I pre-register with my hospital for the birth?

brendalee - 890 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You have to register? I've never had to do that. What is registering for? Isn't all your info at the hospital if you're there for prenatal care?

lailasmommy - 890 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i would register 2 or 3 weeks before your due date most hospitals dont keep your info in there computers more than 30 days....i registered at about 30 weeks and my hubby had to sign all the papers and give my info again when i was in labor not fun but i would definately not do it too early:)

Chloe:Laiden - 890 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would pre-register pretty early. Like about 30 weeks or so. Check with the hospital to see if you have to re-register after so many days. At the hospital I was in, the computers had to be updated with your info every 30 days or so. So, if I registered at 35 weeks and then went to 41 weeks, I would have had to re-register. Some hospitals aren't like that. So, just check with them.... It saves you and hubby a lot of time when you pre-register. Especially if your labor is spontaneous :o)

mikeysmommyof2 - 890 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ASAP! the reason is....say if anything is wrong...or if yo uhave to go in randomly for whatever reason....they will have all of your info already in the system for check in rather than filling everything out when your in a hurry. i pre registered after my first prenatal visit with my last pregnancy and this one.
