Finding out sex!!

So I`m 20 weeks tomorrow, and we`re going to the doctor to find out if we`re having a boy or a girl!!! And I`m wondering (this might seem like a silly question) is there anything I can do beforehand to make sure we can tell? Everyone tells me we can only find out if the baby is `cooperating`, which makes sense.. The woman I work for told me to drink something sugary before so the baby has some energy and hopefully is being active, is this true? Thanks ladies and cross your fingers for me!!

chiquiz8 - 887 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes, totally true, drink something sugary and dont eat a big meal, cause usually a big meal makes you sleepy as well as the baby, just eat something to keep you comfi but not full and definately something sugary like orange juice or even chew a hard candy. It works wonders and if the baby is moving a lot the more the chances you will be able to take a peek at the sex. Good luck and let me know how it works out for you!

I drank a can of Mt Dew because I quit cold turkey and thought I deserved just one :) I had 10 u/s total with my lil girl because she wouldn't let them measure her face but we knew from the start she was a girl! rickettsrules - 888 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was told by the clinic to drink orange juice before going in to make the baby more active so they could get different angles (this was at the 12 week scan) If they have a bad angle and the baby doesn't want to move you might not be able to see. I have my scan in 5 days - I am anxious to find out just like you! I will be devistated if they can't tell!

nutnut - 888 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) im not sure. with my first i had to pee so bad and the place was backed up and they made me wait 2 hours for my appointment holding my pee. i was cranky, and it hurt really bad. the tech let me relieve myself some and apologized for the wait. she said i was having a girl with about 80% being sure. i had a girl. she wasnt moving around alot or very active. this baby is different my last u/s the little peanut was trying to get away from the tech and moving all over (even though i couldnt feel it) it was way too early to tell then, ill find out hopefully on monday =)) hoping its not overly active to where the tech cant get a good view =)))
