I have had severe morning sickness for 2 weeks straight I can harldy eat and I was loosing a couple pounds and I was feeling really dizzy. I would wake out of a dead sleep to vomit and never had a second that I didnt feel sick. So my Dr. perscribed me the Ondansetron which I took this morning and I actually didnt throw up I felt alot better in comparison to how I had felt. But I cannot stop thinking about how it is going to effect my baby! Anyone taken this medication? I would love to hear how it worked for you or any other info you might have for me! I have tried all the natural remedies and so that is why they finally gave me the perscription. Help! Thank You

I got food poisoning real bad when I was 6 weeks preggo and I thought I could fight it off myself so I didn't go to the Dr until almost 2 days later and I was soooo dehydrated and couldn't keep ANYTHING down, not even water! So when I got to the ER they put in an iv and gave me 3 bags of fluid and shot some Zofran in my iv too. Instantly I felt better! Zofran is safer than Feneragen(SP?) during pregnancy. So before I was allowed to leave the hospital, I had to eat and drink and hold it down for at least 20 minutes. So they sent me home with some of the Zofran (it melted under your tongue) And I took it in the morning and tried peppermint the rest of the day. If the peppermint didn't work I took another Zofran. My daughter will be 7 weeks old tomm and is perfect! Well besides the fact that I spoiled her and she's Mommy's little princess and to hell with everyone else lol :)

Debra - 883 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) http://www.safefetus.com/DrugDetail.asp?DrugId=249&TradeName=Zofran%20Injection/Tablets&TradeId=2247 this is a site i go to when i want an answer about medication related to pregnancy/ breastfeeding. this is a site i use to look up info while at work (i'm an RN) http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a601209.html from what I could find, there has not been any real studies on this medication and it's safety related to pregnancy. Mostly this occurs, because usually pregnant women aren't included in drug safety studies for obvious reasons. If you are concerned, I would talk further to your doctor.

jmama - 883 days ago Yes but I saw that it has not gone through a human drug trial only through a mice trial. And lots of women I saw said that they are in a lawsuit against the medications company becuase lots of babies where born with odd heart complications. I just wanted to see if anyone else has experience with this medication. Thank You again!
