My daughter started running a fever of a 100.3 last night so i gave her tylenol last night and she was fine this morning , well then tonight she got up to 101.6 so i gave her a cool bath and more tylenol and she still seemd to not be cooling down. her ped said not to take to emergency unless it hits 102 but hell 101.6 is close enough. What do i do

Cool washcloth on her head will probably help. My son gets fevers a lot and I only bring him in if he is over 102 and tylenol won't keep it down.

Cindie - 880 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Give her another cool bath and watch her closely, place her in a cool room but with a light blanket so she doesn't get cold or go into shock. You should take her to the ER just to be on the safe side.

RobinG - 880 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Alternate tylenol and mortin. My son often got 104 as a baby and sadly all they will do is help to get fever down and check to see what is causing it. Fevers always get higher at night to sadly. ER's are awful here at night and long waits so personally I'd wait and give both mortin and tylenol and go to doc in morning. Fevers are scary but 102 and under really isnt that bad to hold off to go to docs in monring. Hugs, hope she is ok (())
