is going to the chiropractor safe during pregnancy? i read up on it and its supposed to help big time . i just wanted to see what you all thought.

Debra - 877 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) if you aren't used to going to a chiropractor, I would skip it until after you are done your pregnancy. I used to go regularily, quit for a few years and then went back in my 9th month as I was desparate for pain relief and to get my labour going. It turned him into a breech position (which I didn't know about when I went into labour, I fully dilated and then ended up with an emergency c/s). I should have just gone more frequently to my massage therapist- who was really great with pregnant women.

meecob - 877 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I visited my chiropractor about every eight weeks during pregnancy - it was awesome. I think everyone is different, and we each have things that make us feel good; for me, I always looked forward to me next appointment.

RobinG - 877 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I personally wouldnt feel safe with a chiro but others have gone and loved it I went to a physical therapist with my first 2 and she specialized in pregnant women so that is VERY important. If I had to go for help I'd def only do a PT.

mrsscorpio - 878 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I went to a physical therapist which is a little bit different from a chiropractor but he massaged my muscles and taught me to do exercises for my neck and back that were healthy during pregnancy. My doctor recommended a physical therapist over a chiropractor...I forget the difference between the two...anywho, make sure whoever you go to has worked on pregnant women before and understands that your treatment will need to be modified. (I went to physical therapist after someone rear ended me when I was 6 months along)
