Moms who have children close in age (18 months or less) Added: 877 days ago. Added by: bebe77 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
My husband and I have a 3 month-old little girl(our first) and are thinking of trying for the next one within the next 2-6 months, which would mean they`d be anywhere from 15-20 months apart in age. I`d like to hear from other moms who are in this situation: best part about it, most difficult, and would you do it all over again?

I have an 18 month old (march 17) and a 7 month old (feb 5) I hated being pregnant while trying to chase after a crawling/starting to walk baby..but I love it now they are close in age, play with the same toys and all that. The only fustrating thing can be that because my first was only just under 11 months old when my 2nd was born she didnt exactly understand being gentle and all that.

Mine are not that close in age... they are 2 years and 4 months, BUT... the thing I found the most difficult was relearning how to do everything. For example, if you go to the grocery store you put one baby in the top part of the cart, one in the basket (since she will not be old enough to walk) and now you have no where to put your food. Little things like that are tough but with that said, it is ALL a learning process. Good luck!

So the word is, "go for it!" Lots of positive feedback...thanks, Ladies for the input. My biggest fear isn't the diapers or feedings so much as "what if I get sick?" It's rough enough with one!

sorry i clicked send before i was done. the best thing about it is the kids are so close in age they have more thing in comon and play very good together. the worst part is you do have two babys who need the same needs both in dipars. both who still want to be held and all that good stuff but like i said before i would change a thing.

I have two boys, 17 mos apart. And no, I would not change it :) I enjoy having them close in age and watching them learn from eachother..they are already so close. It isn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Yes is means 2 diaper changings, 2 feedings, but my kids nap together during the day and I still have my alone time. They are still young and they go to bed fairly early, and sometimes I will leave one home with daddy while I run errands so that neither of us will have 2 to watch. I'm still able to work and attend school. I look forward to watching them grow up together! Trust me you will be able to do it..I feel like a pro now!! :P

My girls are really close. My first baby was 4 months old when I got pregnant with my second. My oldest, Lilly was born in June of 2008 and then Lexi was born in July 2009. So they were 13 months apart. I like it well because they can basically grow up together.

Well, I'm currently pregnant with our 2nd baby. Our two will be 15 1/2 months apart. We TTC when our first was 6 months old, for us it only took a couple months and honestly I look forward to having 2 close in age.
