Will Progesterone Vaginal Capsules 100mg cause me to not ovulate?

Have had 3 m/c, (in profile) all before 5 weeks.. my doctor put me on progesterone starting tonight (CD14), but was just wonering if it is possible that I won`t O if I take it before O, as I am not charting my BBT, So it`s usually CD12 on non stressful cycles, & CD 17 on stressful cycles, this is a semi cycle, haven`t been overly stressed, so I start it tonight.. But will it cause me to not ovulate if i havent exactly O`d yet?... Thanks in advancee!!!

m2b - 875 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Chloe:Laiden is excatly right!!! I too was on it before and after I was pregant and here I am 32 weeks later!! I will tell you this if you have to take it wear a panty liner because it is messy. Good luck to you and I sprinkle you with lots os baby dust!!! :)

I was on it after I got pregnant and my doc explained it to me like this: Progesterone is the hormone that your uterus should make on it's own to have a baby stick(or the egg latch to the uterus like it should). So, with low progesterone you could miscarry.... Your doc probably noticed your levels were low and that could have been a cause for your miscarriages. He's probably trying to give your body a head start with the progesterone.... Oh! I just remembered a girl at my church was on it BEFORE she got pregnant and she's at 32 weeks now... So, I'm assuming it helped her keep the baby... Good luck!
