im kinda scared

i still have another 3 weeks b4 i can have sex again but im kinda scared to trust the birth control, i got the shot b4 i even left the hospital and i have to get it every 3 months. anyone else on the shot and is it trust-worthy? WE DONT WANT TO GET PREGNANT AGAIN LOL.

jacquecmsu - 872 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was on the shot for a long time... I really don't think you will get pregnant- it's some pretty powerful stuff! I'd have him "pull out though" for a couple weeks, just to be sure. Warning, the shot made me kinda fat and really a bitch :) but, it's not the same for everyone. Good luck!

blondie9504 - 874 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I hate the shot and would never recommend it to anyone but none the less, I got it before I left the hosppital too just in case. I'm getting the Mirena before my shot runs out so I don't have to deal with the shot anymore. It messes with my sugar and I gain weight like crazy on it. I felt so much better being off of it. But to answer your question, you shouldn't get pregnant on it. Rarely does that happen. The shot is one of the most effective birth controls there is. My ol man has 4 kids and I had several m/c so he is as fertile as can be and he doesn't have to try lol. We haven't had any issues with the shot working with that part :)

my.family - 874 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my bff got pregnant on the shot. so personally i wouldn't use it, and another girl i know, was on it, and it totally messed her up. she had some sort of reaction to it.
