When feedin ur baby(mine is 11wks) when u give them a few ounces and u burp them do they refuse to take anymore. . . ? My baby takes 3 r 4 oz an gets burped then wont take anymore. . . ? How do i get around this . . . ?

i'm with luckywhite...i never stopped feeding halfway through to burp, i just gave a full bottle...there was never any left over and she didn't suffer from wind

both my babes fed for very brief periods of time, but quite frequently. You can't give them more than they'll take. You can only control how often you offer the milk/formula, but a baby that young, in my opinion, shouldn't be made to wait, but should be fed just as soon as he/she shows interest. In the case of my 2nd baby, her reason for quitting early was reflux. Even if it wasn't coming back up, she was experiencing the discomfort, so she didn't like to have a full belly.

feed the whole bottle then burp.. after i finished breasfeeding i couldnt interupt a bottle feed or it was game over - so give hte whole lot then burp

Unlike adults, babies stop eating when they are full :) I'd say don't stress about it...my daughter never ate or eats more than four oz at a time, she's 8 months old. I know each babe is different, but I'm positive that if babe was hungry s/he would let you know ;o) Take care.
