In having a vbac your chances are pretty slim that they will induce early. Doctors don't like to induce before 41 weeks unless there are some complications. I wanted to be induced they day after my due date and was denied. But I don't think it's ever an impossibility. Just speak with your OB. Maybe they will give you a diffrent answer.

Congrats! I see you live in Canada - most Canadian Drs encourage VBACS, unless you were cut vertically during your last C-Section (which isnt very common anymore). But I don't think that they will induce you early - induction leads to c-sections more often than natural labour does.

My VBAC was a horrible experience :( I know another mom on this site who lost her baby from complications from one. Its important you discuss this with your doc to even see if they will do it. Hospitals in my town will not allow a doc to induce prior to 39 weeks unless medical reason and vbac isnt a reason. So if you lived by me and your doc was willing to induce it couldnt be any sooner then 39 weeks. But personally I think VBACS are to risky ~

I talked to me Dr, because I wanted a VBAC. But My daughter is only 11 months old and Im 31 weeks pregnant. My Dr said ultimately its my choice. BUT Since the baby would not progress down the birth canal she was concerned it would happen again. It really depends on the reasons behind your last C section.

I had a VBAC only a year and a half after my csection and it was such an amazing experience and such a better recovery. I highly recommend it if your Dr. thinks it's safe for you. I was able to because I had the csection due to possibly issues w/ the baby, not because I failed to progress, or had anything that would happen again.
VBACS are safe as long as you are monitored and your Dr. isn't an idiot! I know alot of Dr.s wont do them because you have a slightly higher risk of uterine rupture. And I said a slightly higher...very uncommon actually. My Dr. has only seen one in all her years of practice.
As for inducing. No doctor I know of would induce 2 weeks early just because that's when they did a c-section. It's actually more risky to induce after a c-section because since your body isn't ready and all those hormones are making you contract harder and faster than you normally would, you are even at a higher risk of uterine rupture and a failed VBAC. My Dr. was all for me having a vbac but only if I went on my own. They wouldn't induce unless I got far enough into labor and then stopped. I was 4 days overdue before I went into labor! Sucked but I was determined to not have another c-section. Good luck!

You should discuss this with your dr. I had a csection and my doctor will not let me do a vbac because of the risks.
