pregnancy test....malfunction maybe?

ok so im suppose too start af either tomorrow or monday. I decided to take a pregnancy test i bought from the family dollar store. this test is the one that shows up as a - or a +. when i took it out of the wrapper i looked at the test and usually theres nothing on the windows, but i saw the - line there. not like dark but where it would show up. It was pretty noticable. so i peed on the stick and yet again got a negative. What do you guys think.... Is that wierd that the - area was noticable before i peed on it. And i also noticed when i picked it up it sounded like the stick was broken , like you can hear something moving around in the stick! when i bought it from the ladies at the store it was behind their counter but i noticed that a lot of the boxes were damaged....Mine was just a little bit. HELP...should i buy a diff. test?

rhiannarussell - 864 days ago thanks ladies. I appreciate your comments. I bought the clearblue...was gonna take one this morning...but ugly af showed. :( Im gonna stay positive about it though. I believe i didnt get pregnant this month for a reason. We are still gonna keep trying. we are skipping this month though, for the due date would be in july and we have too many things already scheduled in july! Maybe i will have another august baby! Who knows. :)

Amanda-is-Rebekahs-mommy - 865 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) when I tested with an EPT one day before my missed period I got a negative with my first daughter... 5 days later I finally decided to take another test since AF hadn't shown yet and back then I was still very regular, I took a First Response and got a very quick, very dark positive.. it's probably just a fluke false negative for EPT, but I tend to trust First Response more... and if I remember off the top of my head I believe they're a little cheaper than EPT too... Though to be fair I got a positive this pregnancy with an EPT and I was only about 3 weeks pregnant...

Cindie - 865 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) No it's not wierd, that's how the $$ store tests tend to be. I'd suggest you go and buy Clear Blue Digital. I DID use EPT with my first pregnancy but this time my levels were too low to be detected clearly. The clear blue digital gave me a "pregnant" result and my blood HCG level was only 27. I'm now 28w pregnant with a son.

kickboxerbaby - 865 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If it will give you a peace of mind then yes buy an additional test. I suggest an EPT. They are a little more expensive but I was told by a doctor that they are even more accurate then they ones the hospital gives. Good luck.

nutnut - 865 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) but another test. youre not supposed to hear it moving that means something came unglued somewhere, plus being able to see the - in the window shouldnt be visable until it comes in contact with liquid (urine) im thinking the test is damaged and has some how gotten wet in the process. i used clearblue easy digital walmart sells two in a box for 9.99 which is alot cheaper than most brands, plus you get two tests.
