how long was labor and pushing for your first?

honghuzhenni - 856 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had my daughter after 10.5 hours of labor, about 20 minutes of pushing, unmedicated, the morning after her due date passed. She was 8lbs 6oz, 20in long. I'm anxious to see how my next one goes, come January. :)

LailasMommy - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My water broke 2 days before my due date(March 25, 2009 at about 12 p.m.) i never got any contractions so at 6 pm they induced me with pitocin....got the epideral at midnight or so and i was in labor for 16 hrs. almost 17 before i gave birth(March 26, 2009 at 4:23 a.m) and i pushed for 45 mins. and she was 7lbs. 1oz. and 19 inches long it was easy pushing with the epideral and i didn't need a episiotomy or stitches just had a minor tear that healed on its own.

I was admitted at noon, they checked me before they started anything I was 3cm and 80%effaced on my own. They started pitocin at 3pm..Broke my water around 5pm and by 10:30pm I was fully dialated. I started pushing and had her at 12:10am..1 hour and 40 mins of pushing..it was rough. She was 8lbs 8ozs..20inches.. so it was around 9 1/2 to 10 hrs.. :)

sheenat3 - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) waa going in to get induced but was already in labor they started the induction anyway so was in labor 24hrs and pushed for 1.5hrs producing a 8lb 10oz baby at 8:24 on 8/24.

corrin - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was induced at 38 weeks. my labor was 8 hrs 20 min with almost 2 hrs of pushing and the end result was a 9lb 10oz baby boy!

my.family - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was induced at 34.4wks due to Pre-eclampsia. I was induced on 8/7/08 at 9:51am, on 8/8/08 my water broke at 5:30am, and again at 8:30am (crazy-right?!) and i had my lil man at 7:31pm. total-i was in labor for 34hrs 15mins. and then i had have 15 mins of pushing. and i only had an epi for 5hrs total!

lovelee - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My first was around 5 hours with 40 mins of pushind and he was 5 pound 8. My other 2 were about the same with less pushing time and way bigger babys, 8 pound and 7.5 pound.

BethRae87 - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My water broke around 7:30am and had my daughter at 2:06pm. I pushed 3 times and only took 5 minutes. So it was a VERY short labor for it being my first. Plus, I didn't start dilating until 11am and didn't experience any pain at all the whole time. My daughter was 20 1/2 inches and 5 lbs 14.7oz. She was born the day before my due date!

angie2008 - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was induced after my due date, from when they began pitocin to when she came out was 38 hrs. I pushed for 2 hours (it didn't seem that long) and she was 9lbs 2 oz.

adkinsrus07 - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Labor started (didnt realize at time) b/t 9pm-11pm Dec 4th- until 5pm ish on Dec 5th. Pushed for literally no more than 5-10 minutes. (He was small and yes I did tear but I was just tired of the midwife yelling at me about complaining so I just gave it all I got lol)

blondie9504 - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My labor was 27 hours(thats when my contractions were 5 minutes or less apart, God only knows how long I was really having contractions cause I thought it was gas pains lol)I pushed for 3 hours and had at 6lb 11oz 20.5 inch long baby girl :) I thought she was NEVER comming out. I ended up having to be induced about 15 hours in because I stopped contracting so they broke my water and gave me Piticon (SP?)I went into labor on my due date but had her the next night. I also got the epidural once my water was broke. Good luck!

TaraR - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My labor was 10 hours long. My body was fighting the contractions so it took a little bit. I wasn't going to get an epidural but I decided to. Once I did it went really quick. My daughter was 7 pounds 1 oz and 21 1/4 in long. Hope this helps!
