I have still not gone to a doctor. I can feel the baby move. I know I need to go see a doctor! I plan to make an appointment this week but is it ok that I haven`t seen one yet?

rickettsrules - 857 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Usually you have an ultrasound at around 12 weeks to make sure there aren't any chromosonal (spelling sorry) issues with your baby, and one at 20 weeks to make sure there aren't any physical issues. Other than that the main thing they check is your blood at 12 weeks and again at 26 weeks to make sure you don't have diabeaties, and checking your iron levels etc. Other than these things the doctors basically just feel your tummy and check your blood pressure. I started feeling my baby at 17 weeks as well. I really hope your morning sickness passes soon! Happy Days.

nutnut - 857 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you should be fine, but i would really go to the dr soon. with my daughter they wouldnt see me until i was close to 12 weeks unless there was a problem. with this baby they had me in at 8 weeks. the didnt even do a pelvic or anything until 14 weeks. but i did have the ultra sound at 8 weeks. every dr. is different. i would guess youd be ok, but you never really know. better to go asap. you should be at least taking prenatals you can buy them at walmart or you can jsut take like two children's vitamins. good luck.

lisab123 - 857 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My SIL didnt go to the DR until 24 weeks, and everything was fine. I wouldnt encourage not going to the dr but at least you can feel your LO moving.

adkinsrus07 - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Dont try to stress about it too much. Although it is nice to have that peice of mind of a professional in healthcare- women had have and continue to have children for as far back as time began ya know? You are actually lucky to be feling your first child so early, so at this point it is normal for lil ones to move some- but not constantly daily yet is normal. Try and see what kind of assitance you can get from the government if that is what is holding you back. Be sure you are tracking baby's movements and taking your vitamins and eating well. If you can afford it purchsing a fetal doppler online will really make you feel better so you can keep track by listening to the heart beat. Good luck.

xidja - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) o and if you get a complete vitamin instead of prenatals my doc still suggests taking folic acid as well so you may want to get that too or ask a doc about it. mine suggests 1 mg

xidja - 858 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) just think how back when our moms had us they didnt go to the doc right away like we do now a days. of course its a good idea to get in right away but if you cant you cant. what can really be done if they find something wrong? nothing usually. i couldnt go do the doc until i was 10 wks. as far as the vitamins try taking flintstones or some other "complete" vitamin. if you already tried taking the prenatals with food then try a different one. there is no reason you should be suffering with vomiting if you dont have to (and u dont) i tried taking the prenatals before bed and guess what? i just threw up in the morning!

mommie2be2aboy - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) try kids chewable vitamins just take 2 instead of one my doctor said it was completely fine

mfbrown - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes it's ok that you haven't seen one I would just suggest doing so the sooner the better... that way they can make sure you're at where you should be and that kind of thing. Many suggest taking the prenatals at night before bed time... you could give that a try maybe?

Mama Bri - 859 days ago 17 weeks the only problem is I still can't hold down any prentals I try but everytime I do all food but the vitamin stays down.

mommie2be2aboy - 859 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I didn't see a doctor until I was 16 weeks and so far he has been fine how far along are you?
