I am doing a research on the most common nap times for babies (age from 0 to 12 and up). If you could indicate times and duration (on average :) that`d be fantastic! THANKS!

jobean38 - 845 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Cadence is 13.5 months old from about 5-8mos Cadence napped for 45-90 minutes 90 minutes after she got up, then another 45-90 minutes about 2.5 hours after she rose from her morning nap, then again around 4pm for 20-45 minutes (little catnap). at 8 mos her morning and afternoon naps got consistent and she could last longer. Since then she takes one morning nap 2 hours after she wakes (so around 9:30am) she generally sleeps for 90 minutes. She goes down again around 1:30 -2pm for another 90 minutes. Occaisionally in the morning she goes down for only 45 minutes and makes up for it with a super nap in the afternoon so she almost always naps for a total of 3 hours per day. Bedtime is 3.5- 4.5 hours after she wakes in the afternoon nap but always about 7:30 (that way she doesn't wake up before 7am LOL). I got the 2, 3, 4 hour awake time suggestion from my sleep training book and it works like a hotdamn. She also sleeps 11.5-12.5 hours at night.

After 5 months they dropped the third nap and are now down to two (10:00am-12:30pm and 2:30pm-5:00pm). Bed has always been 8:00pm. By 18 months I will have them down to one long nap per day. They also sleep 13 uninterrupted hours at night and have since 7 weeks of age. They are 9 months old.

LGK616 - 852 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My daughter is 12 months - if she wakes at 8am, she will nap anywhere between noon and 1pm for 2 hours. Depending on how busy we are during the day, she might nap around 6pm for 1 hour but that is only if we have been to a playgroup. Mid 11th month, she started dropping one of her naps as she used to nap once in the morning and once in the afternoons. xox

sweetbabyboy - 853 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my 2 year old naps everyday at 12.00pm until about 1.30pm- 2:00pm. My 5 month old has 3 naps a day one at 10:00am for about 45 mins, one at 1:00pm until about 2:30pm and one at 5:00pm for about 30 mins.

mariettap - 853 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Here's a link with a great little chart. http://www.lpch.org/DiseaseHealthInfo/HealthLibrary/growth/infhab.html My 10 month old does 2 naps: 9am-11 and 1-2, both pretty flexible though. They go to 1 longer nap (2-3hrs) at about age 1.

abbyquiet - 853 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my 22 month old takes 1 nap at 1130 every day.

RobinG - 853 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My son is older now, 23 months. When an infant up til about 6 months he napped on and off all day, no set schedule. Around 6 - 12 months 3-4 times a day, 2 before noon time and 1 afternoon time and 1 early evening. After that he went to 2 naps, one about 9:30-11ish and again at 2-4. At 23 months and since he was about 19-20 months old he has has needed 2.5- hours of sleep. While it can be done in 2 naps at times, most often it is one nap. Afternoon time.

xela - 853 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My son does not go down for naps at specific times, I just watch for when he is getting tired(rubbing his eyes, yawning). My son usually goes down after he has been awake for two hours- he naps 2-4 times a day( he generally sleeps a half hour at a time)
