I`m planning on taking 6 weeks off and working up until my due date. My work could really use me the week before I come back (5 weeks). I work a no-stress,part-time, 3 - 8 hour shifts. Sitting the entire.

All I can say is that I know of 3 friends who went back to work either full or part time within 8 weeks of having their babies, and in hindsight they told me it was a big mistake. I am going to take off as much time as is possible; I don't want to miss one minute. Work could use me back, but the baby needs me more than work does, and means so much more to me than a job ever could.

blondie9504 - 851 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was laid off in February and they called me back to work 8 weeks to the day after my daughter was born to go back to work. I was ready but I work 10 hour days and have to drive 2 hours a day for the babysitter so it's no fun. I'm paying out so much $$$ it's ridiculous, so it's really not even worth me working. I'm going to quit when I get my car paid off and find something else part time so I don't have to pay for a babysitter. Thata way her Daddy can watch her while I'm working and vice versa. Good luck!
