so my daughter is 13 mos and i`m almost 10 wks pregnant again. to all u moms who`ve had kids close together i`m just wondering how hard it was to adjust and if you have any tips?

cherryzz - 844 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well I havnt had my son yet. Im 34 weeks, my daughter JUST turned 1 year old. But so far being pregnant and having a baby is hard.. I just hope it gets better after.

vickiessecret - 846 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I feel the same as you My daughter is 13 months old and I'm 13 weeks pregnant, she'll be around 19-20months when I have this baby. I'm sure it will all work out, just think they'll have a playmate close in age..a little later down the road :)

adkinsrus07 - 848 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Its ok my son was about 5 monthes when we found out- it was overwhelming but I try to involve him in the process as much as possible. The thing is it is tough with multiple children anyway- but I think that having them close in age is nice. You are doubling up on diaper duty lol and a toddler may find it difficult to go from getting all the attention to dividing it but sooo many mom's do it. I will need to see how I adjust Im 34 weeks and my babies will be basically 2 years apart by a couple of days. I think it also depends on the genders too. I was hopign my son would think of himself as the protector and big brtoher but so far all he has done is make a fuss about the pink stuff coming in the house- lol I will let you know how things go once we have her. I'm 20 weeks preganant I"m scard because I 'm a stay at home mom how does one person take care of two babies. MY daughter is six and I already got my hands full. my son the baby still sleeps with me and my husband I don't know how to break that bad habit my dauhgter slept with us till she was 3.

It's hard like a previous person wrote wen they both cry at the same time or need to eat at the same time etc. But I LOVE having them close. Now that teh baby is 4 1/2 months and interacting alot, my son loves to play w/ her and she loves watching him play. It's going to be so nice once the baby starts crawling and actually being able to play. they'll always have a buddy!!

ShMac - 848 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My oldest daughter was about 23 months when my twins were born. The hardest part for me was getting my oldest to stop being jealous of her new siblings. Once she realized that having 2 new babies in the house did not mean we loved her less, it got a lot easier. You just have to get into a routine and it should be fine. There will always be days when things are crazy but it can be done.

sweetbabyboy - 848 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have a 2 year old and a 5 month old, my son was 21 month when the baby was born, it was a big change in my life having 2!! its really busy, and hard at first as my new baby had acid reflux and was crying a lot, but now my 5 month old is into a routine and his reflux is better it is much easier, you will do fine.

But it's really rewarding when you see how they interact together. It's a little tough in the beginning, but if you get your newborn on a similar schedule as your older one, it will work out good. The most challengin time is when they both cry at the same time, or if they are both hungry at the same time!@ But you'll do great!
