this is my first pregnancy- I`m wondering how far along you have to be to find out the sex? I`m so anxious!! my doctor and I haven`t even gotten to talking about it yet because I`ve been so sic

heidismummy - 845 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) awww i can see how it would be lovely to arrange a nursery a certain colour and have a name picked out but i honestly dont know of any better feeling then giving birth and then the excitement of when they say 'its a ......' if i could bottle up that feeling after that emotional time of going through the labour and wondering what your baby is for all that time i would do!! ive been told finding out before baby is born is exciting initially and then kinda fades out after a few weeks. i think as a whole we are a lot more impatient nowadays, but it was the best advice i was ever given from my mother as i worked that extra bit harder during labour as i was just too excited!! hope your pregnancy goes really well!

xidja - 845 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) found out at 20 wks with my first. some people say they want the surprise so they want to wait but to me its just as much of a surprise if you find out at 20 wks. also, then you can plan the colors and stuff and dont have to do all green and yellow but to each her own!

heidismummy - 845 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) in the UK you can find out at your 20week scan. i decided that it didnt bother me either way so i didnt want to know and i recommend not finding out as it really helped me through my labour and was the best suprise in the world, definately worth waiting for!! ive heard they do the 20 week scan later on in the UK because of the number of women who used to find out earlier on and then get an abortion if it wasnt the sex they really wanted! best of luck!

last.one.for.me - 845 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) you can tell from about 14 week I think, however, most places don't commit to a gender until around 16 or 17 weeks, some as late as 20 onwards.
