I need some help finding a good quote, saying, poem . . . Added: 842 days ago. Added by: rosye13 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
My cousin`s wife just had a miscarriage and I was hoping that one of you ladies might know of a quote or poem, or just something that I could send her that might help her to get through this. Any help is appreciated.

hi,i too have suffered many losses of babies and i would like to say even tough a poem or card would really be nice and sweet ,what would be the best thing is to support her through let her know you are there for her in every step that she takes through this journey, its not an easy one and a friend to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry or just sitting drinking some coffee or tea will be the best if you are far away just to call on the phone to listen to let them know they have someone besides her spouse and parents will do ,i know it did for me to know that i have friends there for me ,i hope this helps you

I'd keep it short, simple, and heartfelt. There's no Hallmark for such a personal experience. If you tell her that you are sorry about her loss and will support her through her journey, wherever it may take her--That's so much more than enough. So few people "get it" when someone loses a pregnancy that the woman often experiences isolation. Simply acknowledging the loss and letting her grieve in her own way for as long as she needs to is a gift only a true friend can give.

Hun, I am so sorry to hear :( Very sweet of you to try to find some words to help her (and him) through this. One of my dear friends on this site posted this wonderful poem called "Wait" on a blog of hers. We have suffered recent losses, and this poem really helped put things in hopeful perspective. Copy the link to her blog - I would copy and paste it here, but I doubt it would copy properly: http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/vip-blog/redheadmama/1256512182
