Hi ladies!!! I just had a question to ask you ladies. My son will be 15 months in 4 days. I`ve noticed that he is bowlegged. His left leg curves really bad. He seems to trip and fall easily. Should I be concerend? Do any of your babies seem to have this issue? Did they grow out of this? Thanks Amanda

Amanda26 - 21 days ago First off thanks for all the replies. Zephan has been walking now since before he turned a year old. A little over 3 months give or take. at his next appointment I'm going to address my concern to the doctor. Thanks again everyone!!

youngmom3 - 21 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My first had legs that bowed, you could tell how she was inside me..lol. and they had a curve to them until somewhere around a year, then they were fine. How long has he been walking. the more he walks, will prob help them to go back straight. Good Luck! It never hurts to ask a dr.

3duenov26 - 21 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My son was so bowlegged I though he'd never walk a straight line or without falling every couple steps!! My Grandma said ( and you know Gramdma's know more than Dr's :-) ) that it was because he started walking kind of early and they will straighten out as he grows. They did, he's 8 now and the quickest boy on his football team!!!

nutnut - 21 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my daughter was slightly bow legged as well. she grew out of it by 3. depending on the severity the pediatrican will instruct you on the different courses of action available. i would definatly voice your concern, as its not "normal". sometimes they grow out of it, sometimes they dont, which could require anythig from physical therapy, to braces, and even in extreme cases surgeries. to set your mind at ease i would consult with my pediatrican and request a referral to an ortho.

TaraR - 21 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My daughter is now 2 1/2 years old. When she was about 15 months she was also the same way. Her left leg curved really bad. I took her to an orthapedic doctor and he said it's nothing to worry about because when they are this age, they are just learning to walk and their bones aren't that solid yet. She grew out of it and her legs are straight now. I wouldn't worry but you could still take him to an orthapedic doctor just to make sure. Where I'm from every now and then they have free clinics. That's where I took her. Hope this helps!! :)

3rd - 21 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My baby has had bowlegs since birth and my health visitors and midwives assured me it was nothing to worry about.. He's now 7 months old and I'm taking my son to the doctors to ask his opinion as my first son never had this issue - so no, I DON'T think it's normal and I DO think it requires some input from a medical professional. Good luck with your son :]
