Starting the `dissolution` process Added: 18 days ago. Added by: blondie9504 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
My SO has been married for 12 years and seperated for 10. They have filed for a dissolution 3 times and each time it has been denied because she was pregnant and you can`t get a divorce in Ohio while you`re pregnant. We`ve been saving up money so we can get this finalized but I really don`t know where to even start. My SO and I have been together for 5 years, we bought our own home 3 years ago and we had our first daughter 14 weeks ago. He has children with his `wife` but child support has already been taken care of by the court system. She moved out of state last year which is what makes this really difficult. I`m wondering where to even start and how to start the process. I`m trying to get a rough estimate of how much this is going to cost. Has anyone gone through this? Can you give me some advice?

UGH...by the time my dissolution was over I had spend thousands, but for him it shouldn't be too costly because they have no marital property. The problem lies in the fact that they HAVE been married for so long and she has rights to any retirement accounts he may have and could get spousal support. I would start by calling a couple of attorneys for a FREE consultation!
