Hi ladies, so I woke up this morning and while I was in the shower I realized I felt like I had to pee, even though I had JUST gone, and it was almost like there was a stinging sensation like in my crotch. So after I got out of the shower I sat down and tried to go, and no pee. And ever since like every once in a while I feel it. It really feels like I have to pee. I`m wondering if maybe I could have a bladder infection or a urinary tract infection or something?? (I`ve never had either so I`m not sure what they would feel like) I`m really worried and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! And I`m 28 weeks if that makes any difference.

jennymomof3 - 13 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) sounds just like one....call your doc it's really easy to find out and treat.

shelly-b - 14 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) like bee2bee said, u need to get antibiotics asap if it is a uti. it could also lead to a kidney infection if not treated soon enough and that can be VERY serious. all u hafta do is pee in a cup and they can tell u if u have one. i'm an RN and we learned in nursing school cranberry juice is good for keeping a healthy urinary tract but for it to help a UTI u would have to drink like a whole jug a day, and not the cocktail, so u would be better off with the pills to help until u r seen. and drink plenty of water. it will help dilute your urine so it doesn't burn as bad and it will help flush u'r kidneys. good luck!

bee2bee - 15 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You need antibitics. UTI's if left untreated can lead to preterm labor. Drink plenty of fluids. If you can handle the tartness of cranberry juice get some until you can get you some meds

mistymisfit - 15 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes, drink as pure cranberry juice s possible, and get onto antibiotics asap (i found nitrofurintine was the best as it didnt give me thrush, ive had lots of these bladder infections), sooner the better!

lulabell7 - 15 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it sounds like you have a water infection, as it feels heavy in your bladder all the time like you need to pee. Consult your doctor but in the mean time drink plenty of fluids especially cranberry juice x

amber-lamber - 15 days ago Thanks so much for answering ladies! I'm going to call the nurse at my clinic and see what they think I should do. I'd rather not have to go into urgent care if it's not totally necessary.

Julianna - 15 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yep...sounds like a bladder or uti infection. Unfortunately common in pregnancy because so many thigs get squished & pushed around into places that they usually aren't..lol I'd go to urgent care or if you can hold off, see your regular doctor on Monday

juels101 - 15 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yea, I'vd had them quite a few times in my last pregnancy and once so far in this one, does sound just like one. It's nothing to worry about, there are safe for pregnancy antibiotics you take for a few days and it's all cleared up!!

ArcticArlz - 15 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) That sounds exactly like a bladder infection, I used to get them all the time, my advice, go pick up some Jamieson Cranberry Extract pills (all natural) and take one or two a day and drink lots of fluids. Some women just chug down cranberry juice and that's good too, but the pills have WAY more cranberry in them. Make sure you keep your fluids up though, it will help fight infection and it will make all you uncomfortable trips a little better since something will come out. Good Luck!
