Baby Moving Added: 829 days ago. Added by: Hebelboy2 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I`m 18 weeks along... I felt like I could feel the baby move a lot prior to today... I feel like I haven`t felt him in a while. I tried laying flat and pushing on my belly and stuff, and it seems like I can even provoke him into moving. Should I be panicing? Or are there days this far along that I`ll not feel him move?

Every baby is different too, I have a long torso and only started feeling all three of my children around 17-19 weeks...and I use to get days like that when I was 30 weeks along...everyone is different and every baby, you might have a calm baby all around, that would be lucky :) I'm sure everything is fine and for sure sounds normal!

Try nto to worry at this point in your pregnancy it is common for it not to be constant / tons of movement. Bbaies have periods of rest too. I suggest if u r like me to get a doppler it is very comforting to hear that heartbeat to reassure you. Also you can try drinking something really cold or eating a snack and lying on your left side and relax this usually stimulates baby and you may feel movement. Try not to worry but if you do notice drastic changes for a prolonged time call the OB to cehck how much movement they fidn normal and they may check ya to reassure you baby is ok. After 25 weeks you should feel it like non stop lol

Nah, don't panic at all. It takes quite a while before you notice a pattern, and a little longer before you can consistantly provoke them into moving. If your nervous you can buy a dopler for at home, then you can check on baby whenever you feel nervous.

If you're that worried, drink a can of Mountain Dew or a glass of orange juice. That should help. Don't stress too much, the baby coulda moved to where you can't feel it, but he's movin all over the place :)
