I am 2 weeks late from starting my period. Yesterday i had called my dr`s office and spoke w/ the nurse she told me to come in next week for a blood test because 2 of my hpts were neg. She said it could be too soon to tell at times cause of hcg levels. Well last night i had sexual intercourse w/ my husband and this morning i woke up w/ brownish blood like spotting in a way. Has anyone had this before? What could this be? When i usually start my menstrual its always bright red.

nutnut - 827 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) brown blood is usally indicative of old blood. did the bleeding stop? some women get implantation bleeding. it could be that as well. the only way to know for sure is going to the dr. and having blood work, or a scan. some women will never test positive on a urine stick. most do eventually but there are occassions where they dont. good luck at the dr. hopefully everything works out for you.

Urine tests are tricky- if it is browner it means it is old blood- so no need to worry. Just stick to your routine and hopefully the test will give you some explanations.
