karissasmommy - 821 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i got my daughters done at 2 months they want you to have the 2 month shots before they pierce them...

jamiespaulding - 821 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As much as I would love to get my Paytons pierced I plan on waiting til she is old enough to ask for it. I had mine when I was a baby and it caused alot of issues cause my mom could never tell if I was playing with the earing or if I was getting an ear infection. Good Luck

AliciaTTCBaby2 - 822 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would of gotten my daughters ears done at like 3 months old but df wouldn't let me, he won't let me get them until she's old enough to want them. But I wish I had of gotten them done when I wanted to, as they don't really mind and forget about them pretty quick.

grumpyangel515 - 822 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Im waiting until my girls ask, The oldest asked once and I told her it will sting and if she gets one done she has to go through with the other one even if it hurts, she changed her mind . . . for now

mama-sl0p - 822 days ago Thanks everyone :) definitely going to get her ears pierced. My Mom took me when I was a little older and I didn't think it was anything super special. I'm so excited to have a baby girl this time around!!!

megandgrace - 822 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 5 months, i love them and very glad i got them done on her!

Averysmommie - 822 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had Averys done at 12wks. My sister had my neices done at 1 year. Avery never knew they were there and never got infected or bothered them...my neice was old enough to know they were there & played with them & was always tugging on them & they seemed to get infected....good luck!

nutnut - 823 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i worked as a piercer. you "can" have them done at 2months with their first DPT shot. (although, there is definatly a chance when she grows the holes will shift and not be centered properly but it doesnt always happen.) i believe its usually better to wait until they can say "mommy i want my ears pierced" which is usually around school age. however if you want to do it before then, i suggest doing it before the child is a year old simply bc the older they are the more likely they will pull or tug at them. we would have people bringin 2 year olds, and it was pretty difficult to get them to sit for that. after the first one, theyre squirming pretty good, and strong too. its just my suggestion. i did my daughter's at 18 months.. huge mistake and i knew better too. one of her holes is lower than the other, and she refuses to wear earings. i also think its a good bonding moment to take your little girl when she is bigger. just make sure they have two people to peirce, that way they can do them both simutaniously and she wont have to sit for the second pinch =)) they usually wont do that on baby's though just bc they dont sit still long enough, and dont want to risk them moving and the piercing being off.

Third - 824 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If you're really intent on getting them done young, it's best to wait until AT least 6 months and go to somewhere reputable who know what they're doing. Babies who have their ears peirced young have to have them done in a particular position to account for ear-lobe growth when they get older - otherwise the piercings can look off-centre when older... Personally, if it were me, I'd wait until my daughter was 10 years old - it was a right of age thing in our family and was an acknowledgement that you were growing up... I just don't believe pierced ears look right on little baby girls and I don't believe it's my right to put holes in my childs body without their consent and without their full knowledge of what's about to be done - also the reason none of my children are christened because it's not my decision to make.. thats just my opinion though - lots of mothers get it done without any problems whatsoever.. I'm not against piercings.. I have 3 facial piercings and tattoos etc - but those are MY choices of how to express myself :] Sorry, I completely went off on a tangent, I hope I did not offend anybody - I just wanted to give a different perspective..
