How many moms are more scared to have an epuridarl or to give natural birth?

mommykate - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) all natural for this gal and loved it!

Its-Chelle - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was more scared to get an epidural..i had 4 kids naturally, only with my 4th though i was given something mild for the pain and it lasted like 15 min..lol

Julianna - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had natural with my first 2 because back then epidural wasn't offered readily. I wasn't going to have the epi with my last son, but when they offere it, I was like "bring it on" I am glad I did! It was awesome!

bebe77 - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) For me, epidural all the way. It was wonderful and I'd never go through that without it...to me, to opt out of pain meds is like going into surgery and refusing the anesthesia. What's the point? Some women do okay without it, I guess, but I'm glad I had mine. Made the post-delivery that much easier, too.

Sarah - Hopeful for 2010 baby - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I've never had an epidural but would never have one. It is not that I am scared to have one I just don't think that it is needed but every woman is different. Also, because of back problems I was told that I would not be able to have an epidural anyway because it would be harder to get the right spot for me and it would have a much higher chance of doing some serious damage to me. My labour was also too short as well. IT was only 3 1/2 hours and I was already 9 cm dialated when I got into the hospital.

mariettap - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have had one with and one without. I think it's such an individual matter. Your mindset could be just right for either the epi or medi-free birth, and then some unpredictable factor can come up and change everything. Every delivery is unique, just like every mother and every baby. There's no bravery-free way to have a baby, but nothing compares to the bravery it takes to be a mommy!

mama2be12.24.09 - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) natural birth, my poor sis had a 24 hour labor, 7 of pushing and ended up with an episiotomy(sp?) that still ended in a 4th degree tear, so im super scared of that happening to me, much rather be numbed and have a needle in my back, im a wuss!

juels101 - 819 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Id be terrified to give birth without an epidural, however I do give birth naturally (vaginally). I hemerage when the baby comes out, my plasenta needs to be romoved by hand, so not having pain meds at that time, already having a baby come out of there and the hands up there.... yea beyond excruciating!!!

AliciaTTCBaby2 - 820 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Iv never had an epidural and I don't want one, I would be more scared of not being able to feel half my body or what's going on then going through it naturally, with my dd the cord was around her neck and the told me to stop pushing if I had of had an epidural then I wouldn't of known if I was pushing or be able to control it and something horrible proberly would of happened.

heidismummy - 820 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i think the thought of a natural birth and feeling every ounce of pain is probably more scary than the thought of a needle to numb the pain. i think the whole pregnancy gets you used to needles anyway, and if it doesnt then by the time you have excrutiating labour pain, you dont even care about a needle!

oliviad27 - 820 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was more afraid to have an epidural but after I'd been in labor for two days (I was induced), I was begging for the epidural, and it wasn't bad at all. In fact, I barely remember getting it.

smiling politely - 820 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) epidurals are not all they are cracked up to be. there are a lots of risks involved for both mother and baby. natural birth is hard and painful, but your body is an amazing birthing machine :) trust in your body!!!

Mama Bri - 820 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am scared to death to have an epidural! My sisters have both told me that by the time it is time to get one, you are relieved to have it that any fear goes away.

hannahe - 820 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ive had both and i am terrified that i wont make it to the hospital in time to have my epidural. thats what happened last time. i love epidurals!!
