I pumped after 8 weeks and my daughter never took my milk from a bottle, I never bottle fed (sorry - I supplemented for 1 week, 1 bottle a day as a dr told me I had to - found a lactation specialist and never gave her a bottle again). If you have problems, enlist help from the Le Leche League in your area or find a lactation specialist. Don't listen to all dr's - some are not educated enough in breastfeeding. That's why it's important to find a lactation specialist!! Persist, persist, persist with the breastfeeding and feed on demand. It's a hard process - takes about 6 to 8 weeks to perfect and you have to give it a fair go. One or 2 weeks is not long enough. But if you are serious about it - you will succeed! 13 months and still breastfeeding for my daughter and I.

Hello! I am currently breastfeeding my baby. I had some issues at the beginning and I did a combination of both breast and formula. If you have any specific questions, please message me on my page and I will do my best to help you x

If you can, try to exclusivly do it, some are lucky enough not to have problems with their supply when they start to suppliment but most do. If you do pump, however you can keep your supply up, even if you dont use the milk, to stimulate them more than he/she needs will keep it up. Look up the different positions and find the one that works best for you. Don't give up, and see the help of a specifically breast feeding advocate. Some that arent for breast feeding will try convince you that they "need" the formula and that you can't produce enough, which is not true at all! Just be careful and listen to your body <3 good luck, it's an amazing experience!!!

I havent got any experience as yet, but have recently been on a breastfeeding course. We were told to exclusively breasfeed if that was our choice and not to pump. The reason for this is because your body will produce the correct amount of milk your baby needs. If you start pumping then you may start to produce too much or not enough milk for your babies demands and that way you will either become too engorged or have a hungry and unhappy baby. Your body will regulate the amount of milk that you need so when baby starts to go through a growth spurt and feeds more one day, the next day your will be producing more milk to cope with the demand. If you start introducing formula to make up the feeds then you wont be producing enough milk. I hope this makes sense?

hi ,weather you choose to breastfeed or formula its all of to you,i chose to breastfeed and it was the best experience and most full-filling thing i could ever do for my child,i breastfed and when he would not latch i formula fed and when i felt he was not getting enough i formula fed but when your milk comes in your baby will let you know when there done eating, its trial and error,i exclusivly breastfed him at 1 week until 1 and 1/2 and he is two now and it was great but everyone is didfferent if you have any other questions let me know i hope i answered yours
