okay..im 35 weeks and i went to the doctor tuesday i had an ultrasound done and my doc said that b/c of the steroid shots my baby lungs are full term..usually they say thats why u shouldnt drink castor oil early cause the baby may not be fully developed im so ready to get this over wit...do yall think i should wait?

shelly-b - 811 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 35 weeks is still premature. u should def. wait. i don't think u would want to put u'r baby's life in danger just because u'r tired of being pregnant. 36wks is considered term but that's still early. u should hope to go atleast 39wks. i think all of us that go to term should consider ourselves lucky. think of these poor mothers delivering premature babies that want nothing more than to keep their baby inside as long as possible to keep them out of the nicu and give them a healthier chance. your baby will come when it's ready. don't rush it and be happy your baby will be healthy and youll get to take it home instead of visiting it in the nicu for weeks or even months. enjoy the last of your pregnancy! itll be over before u know it then u'll miss being pregnant!

clackkit - 815 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) your too early at least wait till 40 weeks - I tried it for a few days after my due date and nothing just lots of braxton hicks -

lisab123 - 816 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think you should wait. I had a friend drink it and had a horable labor and when she delivered her baby had swallowed her own poop. She had to be rushed out to a bigger hospital. Just be patient. Ur baby will come when it is ready. Although you are miserable and ready you should probably wait. Ask your Dr if she will strip your membranes.

amber325 - 816 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) have patience...your babies health is at risk even if you use it at 40 weeks...It has caused still births! Use some sense....it is only a few weeks relax and enjoy it while you still can.

mommykate - 816 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You baby will come when he or she is ready, Ultrasounds are not always correct.

heidismummy - 816 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i think at 35 weeks its too soon to take it and wouldnt have the desired effect. try to be more patient and think of waiting for when the baby is ready. i know 5 weeks seems like a lifetime but it will come round before you know it! they took castor oil off the shelves in the UK because too many pregnant women were taking it early and causing health complications. just try and be more patient!

juels101 - 817 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It can cause labor, but if it does it gives you bowel contractions along with regular contractions. Not to mention you might have no choice but you labor on the toilet lol. It's risky but does wrok sometimes.

Military~Mommy - 817 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well, you can go ahead and drink the castor oil, because it won't work. It only works if you are on the verge of going into labor any way. But it WILL clean you out! Trust me, I was desperate, and in week 41 tried it twice. I did not go into labor, and I was over due. Baby will come when he is ready!

lb71 - 817 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Not quite what you're asking but something maybe to think about: my dr warned me that castor oil "causes diarrhea, and I mean EXPLOSIVE diarrhea. Not something you want during delivery."
