Ok, so I just went to the bathroom a little bit ago, and when I wiped I saw a small browish spot a little bit in the discharge...sorry TMI!!!! I haven`t had any cramping or discomfort, and it was no more than a little spot...but enough to stop and make me look a little closer. Should I be worried about this???!

I have it w/ both my pregnancies up to 20 weeks...everything is stretching and it's usually old blood that was left in there. Also if you have had sex w/in the past couple days it can happen from that..With my second pregnancy I had that same thing every time we had sex.

A brown smear one time is most likely not a concern, but still good to mention. Could call to ask a nurse on a weekday, but not a crisis for the weekend doc on-call.

But to ease your mind a little bit, I had like, a period, the first four months of my first pregnancy, and the baby was fine. A little warning though. My doctor told me when this would happen (I would damn near fly to the doctor's office each time) there was nothing I could do, if it WAS serious, except take it easy and hope for the best... Keep in mind, IF you do miscarry they SAY that the baby was probably unfit to survive outside of the womb anyhow if carried full term. It's our own little protection mechanism. But again, your sixteen weeks and it's very rare to miscarry so late in the pregnancy. Hope this helps ease your mind.... And Good luck hun...

juliegirly26 - 815 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) just keep a close eye...if it turns to pink or then to red then i'd be a bit worried...or if you start to get cramping...if it makes you feel better go to your nearest clinic or hospital and get checked out.

oskygirl31 - 816 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) If it was brownish in color it maybe old blood from implantation..if you are hot having any cramps, then you should be fine. But if you need to..then call and make an appointment with your doctor, I've had 3 miscarriages and 2 ectopics..and never once was there brown blood..just bright red blood to start with then followed with cramps...good luck..wish u the best.

coolnessa8 - 816 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Are you sure it came from the vaginal opening? Some times residue from the other area can get on the toilet paper - depending on how you wipe. Also, was there an oder? If so, it could be an infection. If it is truly dried blood from your vagina, I don't think its anything to be alarmed about as long as its a small amount. I have read that as the uterus streches that some dried bood can be shed. If you don't have any other symptoms (cramping, continued discharge, oder), I wouldn't be concerned. I haven't had any experience with anything like this, tho..
