conception date Added: 815 days ago. Added by: gorgeousnpregnant Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I cheated once on my husband with my ex after my period. My period was the 8-12. I also slept with my husband. My doctor says my due date is Feb 12, but the sonogram said Feb 18... around what day did I conceive?

You may just have to wait until the baby actualy gets here to get a blood test. I know that you can get a home test but its after the baby gets here (I think) Good luck!!!

There may be another way you can work this out - find out the blood group of each possible father, as well as your own. You can google a blood group calculator and see what each of the scenarios presents - it may or may not work, but it's worth a shot. Say for example one of your sexual partner was an O blood group - that man can only produce an O child by the genes he's donated, whereas an A partner can donate A genes - though he could have an O recessive next to his A dominant.. Gah, just get a paternity test - and next time use some protection.. Cheat as much as you like, but it's your own doing for not taking precautions to be honest. You should come clean to your husband as your child DESERVES to know who it's father is, as does the father deserve to know that they have a child, or that the child is definitely theirs, depending upon the outcome.. You may not even have to come clean to your husband in fact. Just ask the ex to do it with you - you can buy at home test kits that you send off to a laboratory after collecting saliva swabs.. Rule him out and then you know it's your husband - if it comes back it's your ex's, then you'll know that way without your husband knowing..

it depends on how long your cycle length is? if i know that, it can be worked out otherwise its harder. lets say you have a 28 day cycle. I have a 28 day cycle and tend to ovulate from day 12-14 I had my LMP on 17th July 09 i ovulated between the 28th and 30th, i can be pretty accurate as i have always had my periods like clockwork and i used an ovulation kit for 4 months last yr and i ovulated on day 13/14 on every test, got pregnant on the 4th one. I am pregnant again this yr and i have been given a due date of 23rd April 2010 ,this is 282 days. midwives say that we are pregnant on average 280 days inc the two weeks before conception. I went for a dating scan and i was given the 21st as the due date, so this works out at exactly 280 days from LMP to due date.
long winded i know but if you count back 280 days from the 18th of Feb, then what date you have , count forward to days 12- 14 and you may have the dates on which you ovulated.
but its much easier to work out what cycle length you have and go from there, and then you would know when you ovulated. Its not an exact science though even if you knew when you ovulated you can then add about 2 days depending on when sperm where available. There are websites that can give you all this info on cycles and stuff. it also depends on how often you had sex with your husband and when and how often with the other person and was it near to the time with your husband, if its very close then its impossible to tell as sperm can be around for days.
paternity test would be better for you but if your husband does not know and you dont want him to know then i can understand why you want to take this route. good luck

I recall your last poll on this and because sperm can live for days there is no way to know unless you have a paternity test. I OV very early in my cycle and some late ~ I always got pregnant right after my period stopped where others they are more fertile a week ormore later. Really hard to say. Sorry ~

Impossible to know because every woman can ovulate at a different time in their cycle, and implantation can happen at different lengths of time after conception. If you have a later due date based on the sonogram, then it may be more likely that whomever you slept with later is more likely to be the dad. A DNA test may be the only sure way to know after baby is born. Good luck - hope it all works out well for all involved!
