Mama Bri - 815 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) As far as drinking goes, even the tiniest amount of alcohol can cause Fetal alcohol syndrome. My sister drank a couple of glasses of wine and maybe a beer or two when she was pregnant with her duaghter, now he kid is slow to talk and had a twisted artery because of her drinking.

I have also heard that one glass of wine a week is generally considered safe, but since there is no way to prove that it's safe, many people & Doctors will say that the only safe thing is to not drink any. I am 31 weeks & decided to have a glass of wine the other night. It tasted wonderful but I felt so guilty that I wasn't able to finish the glass. It just seemed selfish to me that I was doing something that I wasn't 100% sure was safe for the baby. I think it really boils down to personal choice.

amandita - 815 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I seen on the news not long ago it is now proven that u should not take any alcohol at all while prego...it's not good for our bodies it's not good for the babies body .. Ur baby is trying to grow n develop the most important things right now. Good luck !

rickettsrules - 815 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You will get so many mixed responses to this question. The truth is no one really knows for sure what a SAFE level of alcohol consumption is during pregnancy. I think most Doctors now recommend that you play it safe by not drinking altogether. Some Doctors say just to avoid it during the first three months, and then no more than two units of alcohol once or twice a week. Lots of women say 'why risk it' and will tell you not to drink at all. Some women will tell you they had the occassional beer or wine and their babies turned out perfect. It's a choice you have to make for yourself. Just remember that you should not under any circumstances, at any stage of your pregnancy drink enough to feel drunk or even tipsy.
