Im nearly 6months pregnant , every time I scratch my tummy , it gives out a burn pain ? is this normal ,

I'm 37w and that area on my belly has been extremely tender, to the point of feeling bruised, for at least 3 or 4 months. Even the thought of scratching it makes me cringe; I don't even like to have clothes brush against it! My dr says it's common to feel bruised there; that it's just a really vulnerable area during pregnancy. Try massaging baby oil onto your tummy about 5 minutes before you shower each day, and that will really help with the itching. :)
